Callands Cottage is a substantial, detached cottage in an extensive garden just 400 yards from the meandering Lyne Water, close to Romannobridge near Peebles.

At the heart of the cottage is a wonderful double height sitting room with comfortable seating grouped around a wood-burning stove. The modern kitchen has a dining area alongside and also downstairs are a double bedroom, twin room and a shower room. Upstairs is a further double bedroom, twin room and a family bathroom. Outside, the extensive grassed garden has a patio (furniture), a stable in the adjoining field (for guests’ use) and tennis courts which guests have access to.
West Linton (4m) has a shop and bar/restaurant and Peebles is the place to stock up on supermarket supplies. The Newland Hill Forts Walk passes by the cottage and the 7stanes mountain biking centres at Glentress (14m) and Innerleithen (17m) have a variety of different trails. The bustling capital city of Edinburgh (22m) is a must for a day trip.
