We would love to welcome you to either of our cottages which we converted in 2017 from our 200 year old Cart Shed.
Braeview (on the left) is an open plan studio style cottage with a kingsize bed and bathroom on the mezzanine floor.
Eastburn is a two bedroom cottage with a king size master bedroom (en suite) and a second bedroom which contains a triple sleeper (a double bed below and a single bed above) and a separate bathroom.
Both cottages have open plan kitchen, dining and living areas with smart TV and Wifi and are heated using environmentally friendly Air Source Heat Pumps and the option to use the log burners for those colder winter evenings.
We are 6 miles south west of St Andrews, an hour's drive from Edinburgh Airport and 20 minutes from the main line station at Leuchars. The farm is at the end of 400 metres of track off the B941 - it’s beautifully quiet with calming countryside views and our fields that usually contain sheep. Spring is a wonderful time with lambing.
It’s a short 10 to 15 minute drive into St Andrews with access to a large supermarket, wonderful restaurants and bars, the many golf courses that constitute St Andrews Links Trust and, of course, the spectacular East and West Sands beaches. The heritage within the town is spectacular and readily accessible - check out the tunnels under St Andrews Castle!
There's heaps to do with easy access to loads of beaches, golf courses and beautiful scenery including the Lomond Hills which are about a 20 minute drive west. The Victoria and Albert Museum in Dundee opened in September 2018. We are a 10 minute walk from the widely acclaimed and Michelin starred The Peat Inn Restaurant if you really feel like spoiling yourselves, but do make sure you book your table well in advance.
You will have access to a shared laundry facility together with a large fridge/freezer and storage for golf clubs, surf boards, bikes and so on.
The routes available to road bikers are truly phenomenal - just one of the many reasons for us deciding to put down roots here in 2013. The proximity to so many wonderful fishing villages; the beaches; the unusually good weather (by UK and Scottish standards) and the wonderful atmosphere in St Andrews and across the East Neuk of Fife made the decision simple!
Sophie, Nick, Tom, Ed and William have all played parts in converting a modest smallholding into a truly welcoming location - and we have plans to potentially expand in the future.
