This stunning journey offers some of Scotland’s best, most dreamy sights. Staying over in Portree and Stornoway over 3 nights. Experience all landscapes that Scotland has to offer, from glorious glens and lochs, historical castles and divine beaches.
Day 01 - Glasgow/ Edinburgh to Isle of Skye
Blackness Castle
Often referred to as ‘the ship that never sailed’ because of its resemblance to a stone ship!
Linlithgow Palace
This regal palace is set on Linlithgow loch and was home to many Scots royalty, including Mary Queen of Scots.
Doune Castle
This domineering castle which was famously the set for Outlander and Game of Thrones.
Pitlochry
An amazing location with many lochs and forests for you to explore. Make sure to get your photo taken at the striking Queen’s View and the fairytale Blair Castle. This tranquil location is a great place to stop off for a bite to eat.
Inverness
As you journey towards Inverness there are many magnificent sights to see, such as Loch Ness and Inverness Castle.
Eilean Donan Castle
Iconic Scottish castle that sits on the water where three lochs meet.
Portree
You will then be dropped off at your accommodation in the colourful village of Portree on the Isle of Skye where you reflect on your days adventure in preparation of your next day ahead.
Day 02 - Isle of Skye to Lewis & Harris
On your second day you will leave your accommodation in Portree and travel to Uig to get the ferry to Skye. This journey is approximately 1hour 40 minutes.
Tarbert
A main ferry port for Harris and Lewis and the hub of Harris with mountains forming it’s backdrop. Here is also home to the Isle of Harris Gin Distillery.
St Clements Church
A historical church built in 1520 which is a stone’s throw from the clear blue sea.
Seilebost Beach
Driving through the dreamiest scenery you can stop off at this white sand, crystal clear water beach.
Luskentyre Beach
Famed for its pristine white sands and crystal clear waters. White horses commonly roam the beaches adding to the splendour of what is Harris’s biggest and most beautiful beach and vista.
Calanais Standing Stones
A neolithic monument dating back 5000 years and is even older than England’s famous Stonehenge.
Mangersta Beach
Cliffs and a rocky shoreline. This is the perfect place to listen to the amazing sound of crashing waves coming in from the Atlantic tide.
Bosta Iron Age House
The pictish village is believed to be dated back to 500AD.
Whalebone Arch
Comprises of the lower jaw bones of a Blue Whale which came ashore in 1920.
Butt of Lewis Lighthouse.
As you reach the most northernly point of Lewis, this imposing Lighthouse is a sight to see. Looking west, there is nothing between you and North America.
Stornoway
Your home for the night - Stornoway is a great place to walk around after your evening meal. Some of the freshest fish in Scotland is served right here. You can check out Lews Castle if you fancy a night stroll.
Day 03 - Lewis & Harris to Isle of Skye
Get the ferry from Tarbert back to Uig to begin venturing through the Isle of Skye.
Fairy Pools
With their crystal clear, vibrant pools with mountainous scenery surrounding. They allure you to adventure around. (Please be advised some walking where there is no pedestrian path will be required). These vibrant and crystal clear pools allure you to adventure around them.
Neist Point
One of the most photographed areas of Scotland for a reason with it’s high cliffs and attractive lighthouse
Dunvegan Castle
The grounds are a hidden oasis featuring waterfalls and ornate bridges which you can wander through on your trip. This area has some lovely restaurants to stop for lunch.
Fairy Glen.
This mythical looking landscape will be sure to delight you.
The Museum of Island Life
An area rich in history where you can gain true insight of ancient Scottish life.
Duntulm Castle
Castle remains with an amazing sea viewpoint.
Quairaing
An essential walk for any keen photographer as these are some of the most spectacular landscapes in Scotland.
Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls is
A picturesque observation point offering panoramic views of waterfalls, cliffs & sea.
Old Man of Storr
This is definitely an Instagram moment and probably Scotland’s most photographed area. (Please be advise a mountain climb will be required to see Old Man of Storr).
Portree
Spend your second night in Portree after your travels through the wonderful Isle of Skye.
Day 04 - Portree to Glasgow/ Edinburgh
On your final day of the tour, you will leave Portree and head back to Glasgow/Edinburgh. On the way you will see some of Scotland’s most dramatic and historic scenery.
Urquhart Castle
In the small village of Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness, which is also perfect for spotting monsters!
Fort Augustus
Charming hamlet perfect for watching the sailing boats.
Fort William
The perfect place for a wander around. You will see imposing Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain as well as the Glenfinnan Viaduct which was famously the bridge to Hogwarts in Harry Potter.
Glencoe
Astounding landscape with its imposing mountains and valleys which has been carved by glaciers and an ancient volcano. You can stop off at the picturesque Glencoe village to get out and explore and have some lunch.
Loch Lomond
Romantic and serene location where sights such as the Falls of Falloch and chocolate box village Luss can be seen.
The Kelpies
Culminate your tour here circulating the giant horse heads which is a spectacular sight to see in the evening as the equine structures designed by visionary Andy Scott light up with vibrant colour.
