Why is Oban the Seafood Capital of Scotland and the Gateway to the Isles? What is buried underneath the North Pier? Which famous author is connected to the historic lighthouse? Who built that monument that looks like the Roman Coliseum? How did the people of Oban struggle through Viking invasions, the Jacobite Uprising and both World Wars? How do people face the unique challenges of living in this remote part of the world today?

Your archaeologist guide will lead you on an exploration of Oban's famous landmarks and spectacular geologic formations- all with a tale to tell! 

Cost £65 per group, up to six people, £10pp after.

Sights on this tour include: North Pier, Esplanade, Oban War & Peace Museum, St Columba RC Cathedral, St John's Cathedral, McCaig's Tower, War Memorial, Dog Stone, Oban Lighthouse.

The tour can be customised for most fitness levels. Dogs welcome.
