A day tour exploring the historic landscape of central Scotland where Mary Stuart lived out a tumultuous. controversial reign as Queen of Scots. Was her life a study in failure? Or was she the unluckiest ruler in British history?

The itinerary is flexible.
Among the landmarks will be
- Linlithgow Palace - Mary’s Birthplace .
- Stirling Castle - Site of her coronation as a baby and where she spent her early years.
- Falkland Palace - A favourite country retreat to hunt, practice archery and play tennis.
- Inchmahome Priory ,Lake of Menteith - Safe sanctuary on an inland island in times of danger and unrest.
- Dumbarton Castle - An impressive stronghold atop a volcanic plug where Mary spent six uncomfortable months before she set sail for France . She was not to return to Scotland for 12 years.
On the tour refreshments will be provided and lunch will be taken at an atmospheric restaurant.
