Intro to Scrambling on Skye
Our Intro to scrambling on Skye course is aimed at people who wish to discover the uniqueness of this playground, it is a very good start to people who aspire to a full cullin traverse but haven't experienced the Cuillin ridge before.
Due to the variety of weather conditions encountered in Scotland this course is run with a conditions based approach, meaning that your instructor/guide will use the best of conditions to maximise safety, your learning and overall experience throughout your course. Below is a sample itinerary.
Day 1 Getting to grips with Skye
We meet and chat through the week ahead, and what people want to get from the five days. We then look at the weather and plan the 2 days around the forecast. We then head intothe mountains looking for some rock to chat through some movement techniques, route finding and recap some basic rope work if need be i.e. tying in, belaying.
Day 2
We plan to head further afield and get onto some of the classic scrambles on the Skye, some of which could include:
> The Spur
> West ridge of Sgurr Dearg and the infamous Inn Pinn
> The Cioch Nose
