COVID Response Activity: We have made some adaptations to all of our tours to add a little more security for all of our guests during the pandemic. Private tours are the best way to limit your contact with other people and improve social distancing but additionally we provide individual hand sanitiser dispensers and disposable face masks, all guests will be required to sanitise hands at each point of entry to our vehicles. Our vehicle comes equipped with our own tables and chairs and packed lunches can be provided on request. Again the aim is to improve our ability for social distancing and maintain our small group "bubble". Our vehicle will be cleaned with disinfectant before and after every tour. We are certified "Good to Go" by the National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.
Some times fact is more interesting than fiction. On this tour we will walk in the footsteps of William Wallace and Robert The Bruce and discover the reality behind Braveheart and The Outlaw King. We will visit the battlefields and manage our own troops to see if we can defeat the English invaders. We will follow Claire Fraser back in time to the Jacobite rebellion and get a feeling of what life was like in those times. We will visit the resting place of Rob Roy through some fantastic scenery and the actual birth place of Mary Queen of Scots.
- From your pick up point we will head into Blackness to visit Blackness Castle our first filming location for the hit TV series Outlander.
- From here it is a short drive to Linlithgow palace, birth place of Mary Queen of Scots and another filming location for Outlander.
- Leaving Linlithgow we will head into Stirling to the Wallace (Braveheart) monument looking down toward the scene for the actual battle of Stirling Bridge.
- Another short drive will take us to the Bannockburn Centre where we can take part in a battle simulation where we make the decisions to see if we can follow in Bruce’s (The Outlaw King) footsteps winning a famous victory over the English armies in 1314.
- We will head out of Stirling towards Doune Castle the setting for Multiple TV and Movie scenes. The castle has been used for Monty Python, Game of Thrones and Outlander.
- Moving on from Doune we will head through Callander and out to Balquhidder, the resting place of Rob Roy McGregor before returning to our pick up point or other selected final destination.
