Edinburgh Guided Tour
This guided walk with our unique guides, Stuart Usher and his son Richard, will entertain and enthrall you. Their family is long associated with Edinburgh; They built the Usher Hall. And that's where your tour starts.
This 3 hour walk runs three times a day, at 10.00am, 2.00pm and 6.00pm.
It will wind its way from the Usher Hall, past the castle, along the Royal Mile and eventually finish in the New Town. On every part of the journey, Stuart or Richard will regale you with stories of the architecture, the history of our beautiful city and stories of its famous characters.
You will see houses, 'closes' and monuments associated with some of our most famous historical characters, from the father of the enlightenment through to some of the murkiest rogues imaginable.
As well as a close-up external view of the castle you will go inside the beautiful St Giles' Cathedral.
We only allow up to 10 people in our groups (unlike some of the huge groups that patrol the city) so you will always be involved, always contributing and can ask questions at will.
Also, the opportunities for photographers are amazing in this stunning city.
Children up age 11 go free.
Private tours are also available from our site where you will be the only guests on the walk. And we can also arrange to take larger parties of visitors after you contact us for details.
