The Aonach Eagach in Glencoe is considered the grandest of all of the Scottish mainland ridge traverses. A narrow and exciting ridge that traverses between the two Munros of Meall Dearg and Sgorr na Fiannaidh with impressive drops and views down into Glencoe.
This is a fine route out but it is a big day with a steep ascent and descent, continuous scrambling and some exposure to content with. All of which makes it the classic route that it is.
A Guided Traverse of the Aonach Eagach is up there with one of the best days out in Scotland's mountains.
