Situated on the outskirts of the quaint market town of the "Muckle Toun" of Langholm, this family-friendly campsite is part of Langholm Rugby Club's grounds and is surrounded by woodland as well as the lovely Ewes Water.
There are a total of 24 pitches, all with electric hook up (ten of which are hardstanding with EcoGrids), welcoming tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans. There's plenty of space for all, and the camping field is bordered by the picturesque Ewes Water River.
A peaceful site immersed in nature, this is a great destination or stop off point for anyone looking to explore Scotland or England, situated at the base of the community owned Tarras Valley Nature Reserve and just seven miles from the border and less than a half hour's drive from Northumberland's stunning National Park.
For cycling enthusiasts, the site is located on the new Kirkpatrick C2C, offering 250 miles of uninterrupted joy for experienced cyclists from Stranraer on the west coast to Eyemouth on the east coast. While the 7stanes mountain biking centre, located at Newcastleton, is only ten miles away, with the journey taking you through the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve.
BBQs are allowed as are campfires within the caravan site.
Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on leads within the site itself. There is ample space within the grounds of the rugby club to exercise dogs.
Ewes Water Caravan and Camping Park was set up by Langholm Rugby Club in 1992, on their old training ground, with the vision it would help sustain the club's long-term future.
The site is run by volunteers from the rugby club who take great personal care of the site and immense pride in offering visitors an enjoyable stay.
Why not ask for a tour of the clubrooms, steeped in history, the club dates back to 1871, recently celebrating their 150th anniversary, where they are the 8th oldest rugby club in Scotland and the oldest club in the Scottish Borders - heartland of Scottish rugby, boasting full Scotland internationals and British Lions.
Anyone who stays at the site automatically becomes a member for the duration of your stay - so keep your eyes peeled for the fixture list by checking out our Facebook page or make a note in your diary for April for the extremely popular Annual Rugby 7s!
